Ibiza – Espalmador – Costa este de Formentera – Ibiza

This route is designed for when the predominant wind is of the West component, so that it will be better to anchor on the east side of Formentera. Before we begin we will briefly go through the east coast of the island.

Just past the island of Espalmador you will find the Levante Beach, which is the opposite of the Illetas Beach, and which extends to Sa Roqueta Beach. Here the area of Es Pujols begins until you reach the restaurant Chez Gerdi, from here the entire cliff area of Punta Prima starts until you reach Es Caló, which extends longitudinally as the Levante beach to the cliffs of Pilar de la Mola. Right at the Faro de la Mola, the South coast of Formentera would begin.

The Ruta de Levante can be divided into 3 options, depending on the fuel consumption you want to carry out and the desire to sail you have: Levante Beach – Es Pujols – Es Caló

This route starts from the port of Ibiza, it goes around Dalt Vila, through Figueretas and Playa d’en Bossa until reaching Es Cavallet, from there the patron sets course in a straight line towards the island of Espalmador. We will bracket the east coast of the island to be more protected from the winds of the western component.

This side is a bit more rocky than the west side, but also alternates with small sand coves. The water is incredibly transparent and turquoise in this area.

Levante Beach

After the first anchorage in Espalmador, enjoying the first baths, diving, sunbathing and preparing the first vermouth, we will head towards Formentera, the neighboring island, finding first the Levante beach, opposite Illetas and equally extensive, but quieter, with fewer boats and beautiful views; It is worth going down to the shore. In fact you will find on the beach roads and accesses that will take you to Illetas and its restaurants: Es Ministre and Juan & Andrea are the ones with the shortest routes, and for the rest you will have to walk a little further: El Pirata, Es Molí de Salt, Shark, Kiss Beach. In the Levante beach you will find a good restaurant that has nothing to envy to those of Illetas and usually less crowded and more relaxed: Tanga.

This route Ibiza – Espalmador – Playa de Levante – Ibiza consumes an average of 1 hour 30 minutes of motor use.

Sa Roqueta – Es Pujols

Roqueta. It measures about 120 meters in length and about 30 meters wide, where the Manolito Vapor Kiosk is located, rather more informal, and also the Hostal Sa Roqueta. On the other side of the coves and the beach of Sa Roqueta is Estany Pudent. Next we have the Es Pujols coves, more rocky and more beautiful and fun for surface diving. You will find Escullet des Pujols, Illa de ses Parres and Punta Alta with the fishing huts, Illa des Fonoll Marí, the Escull des Polp and Escull Placita, from where you can see the town of Es Pujols, and all the coves between Chezz Gerdi and the cliff area of Punta Prima. Es Caló

This route is an extension from Punta Prima (end of Es Pujols) to the restaurant Es Caló, in the village of Es Caló de Sant Agustí, shortly before Punta de Ses Pedreres where the Pilar de la Mola begins, an elevated and surrounded plateau of cliffs over 100 meters above the sea, crowned by the famous Faro de la Mola. Es Caló is very extensive, almost twice the beach of Levante, Sa Roqueta and Es Pujols together, and even more rocky, with turquoise water and a very nice bottom for snorkeling. In this area we recommend the Es Caló restaurant. It is important to make sure that the restaurants chosen to go down to eat have an active tender service to be able to pick you up from the ship and land on the shore. If not, you will depend on the dinghy / auxiliary of the ship.
