This Fjord 40 Open “Lolo” is a 40-foot yacht (12 meters) for rent in Ibiza, for 10 people plus the skipper. This spacious open yacht has a large sundeck in the bow and the stern. A high board franc, safe for families with children. It is fast, comfortable and luxurious with an innovative design, perfect for a day on the boat around Ibiza and Formentera with your partner, family or friends. The shipyard emphasized the great personality of her design, good navigation conditions and the versatility of the furniture of the bathtub.
“Lolo” is a modern open model boat, with a purist design for day charter. Yachts of this type offer the perfect comfort and space for day trips, thanks to a wide beam distribution and open plan with plenty of space, seats and table, shade and low fuel consumption. With an avant-garde design, Lolo allows you to enjoy large areas of deck open to the outside, in a 4-meter beam, not bad for a length of only 12 meters. Equipped with 2 Volvo IPS 500 engines of 370 HP each one reaches 35 knots at maximum power. This rental boat in Ibiza represents the reference point of modernization without sacrificing comfort.
The German shipyard Fjord has its origins in the 60s of the last century, in Norway, and over more than five decades of impeccable work has built a prestigious brand. Fjord was originally born in Norway but in 2007 it was integrated into the German group “Hanse Yachts” and its production was reoriented to innovative high-end designs. The “All Seas Design” office, headed by Patrick Banfield and Jim Wilshire, who already had a first-class endorsement in the field of recreational navigation: the Wally Tender. Fjord currently has three products, which are really four boats, the 40 Open of 12 meters in length, the 48 Open as ‘top of the range’ with 15 meters in length, and the 36 Tender and 36 Open, both with 10, 80 meters in length. A simple look is enough to understand why this yacht Fjord 40 Open was chosen “European Motor Boat of the year 2008”.
The exterior of the Fjord 40 Open includes a huge table in the cabin that can be transformed into a large deck chair: this boat in concrete is authorized to receive 10 guests on board plus the skipper, an ideal capacity to enjoy extraordinary moments with friends and family in Ibiza and Formentera, marvelling at the islands from the sea. Her design is based on simple concepts: sharp hull, high freeboard that allows easy walking on deck and offers extra security for the little ones, t-top on a central console and clear but versatile roof. Fjord 40 also has a very clean distribution on the deck, which places the steering position in the centre of the boat under a rigid tempered glass roof.
The cockpit of this Fjord 40 Open Lolo concentrates the greatest versatility imaginable in a 12-meter power boat, with the lateral corridors located in the interior, at floor level of the bathtub, the furniture is concentrated on the axis of the bay. Aft has two sofas and a central table between them, but all with extraordinary versatility. The seats can be faced to the table to eat, be oriented both forward to navigate in the direction of travel or guide them aft to contemplate those who practice water sports or simply enjoy the views of the coast or the sunset while the returning to port, and also orient them alternatively. The table has fold-down wings and adjustable height, and the seats have a folding backrest, creating different solarium surfaces. Simple U-shaped bars act as separation doors between the bath and the swim platform, located only one lower step.
Boat deck and the swim platform are made of teak, and the cleats are retractable, completely flush so that they are not seen when they are not used. The route from stern to bow can be made by both bands, without obstacles and with a great security, because the lateral corridors have a considerable depth, in addition there are some thick stainless steel handrails located on the inside, so that they do not affect the general purist aesthetics of the boat and help to hold on while we walk. The design of the helmet is efficient, comfortable and dry, capable of fast manoeuvres with security.
The Fjord 40 has a totally open plan, in the style of a large boat, except for the presence of a central hard roof, made of translucent material, supported by two large pillars. Its function is to protect from the rain and the sun the government post and the service furniture located just behind the seats. The starboard cabinet houses the kitchen, with two gas hobs, the sink, the refrigerator and cabinets, while the port furniture

The extras are not included in the rent, as they can be large and variable depending on what we have planned for our day by boat. The water toys are the most demanded, among them the seabob, very fun and safe. You can also request a boat catering service, prepared cold food with its own ready-to-eat packaging; a good option when we opt for routes or coves in which there are no beach restaurants, or that do not have dingy service or to which it is very difficult to access by boat, or simply do not want to wait for lines to get a table and enjoy more time hours that we have rented the boat.
